Inspired by Thai
Pad Kra Pao, Pad See Ew, green curry and red curry, Tom Yum soup. The Thai classics we know and love, and the flavours that started it all.
our story
Every good story starts somewhere. Ours started behind a green gate in Camputhaw, Cebu.
2024: where it all began
In September 2024, Kinn Kinn started with a recycled shipping container, a wok, two chefs, and two foodies cooking up our very first dishes on F. Sotto Drive. No tables, no dining area. Just a little ghost kitchen with big plans.
We painted the container green, laid down some artificial grass, brought in a few tables and umbrellas, and hung string lights overhead. A month later, we opened the gate and welcomed our first customers (mostly friends and family!).
What started with just two seats eventually grew to 20, along with a growing team and a whole lot of learning along the way.
2025: finding our own flavour
When we first started, our goal was to recreate the Thai dishes we loved as closely as possible. But we quickly learned that sourcing the same ingredients, herbs, and spices here in Cebu wasn't always easy.
So, we started experimenting.
We took inspiration from the flavours we fell in love with in Bangkok, combined Thai condiments with locally sourced ingredients, and slowly developed sauces, pastes, and recipes we could call our own.
And that's how our take on modern Thai food began. Rooted in Thai flavours, with a little Kinn Kinn twist! Today, we make almost everything in-house to keep those flavours uniquely ours.
what modern means to us
Pad Kra Pao, Pad See Ew, green curry and red curry, Tom Yum soup. The Thai classics we know and love, and the flavours that started it all.
Some dishes stay closer to their Thai roots. Others take inspiration from Filipino and Western flavours. We experiment, we taste, we tweak, and we keep learning. You'll even find a few dishes exclusive to each branch!
Pick your protein, choose your spice, and make it yours. With vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, there's something for different cravings and dietary preferences.
meet our mascot
The little orange buffalo with a big personality.
If you've spotted the orange character on our container, cups, or menu, you've already met Buffy!
We wanted a mascot that captured Kinn Kinn's playful, energetic spirit. And so, Buffy the water buffalo was born. Fun fact: water buffaloes have long played an important role in Thai agriculture!
He's been part of the family since day one, and he's always happy to welcome you.
